152MC – Idea 4: Sky

When I was little I always used to lay on my trampoline with my sister and look up at the sky. Even if it was dark and during the day, there was always something that was interesting to look at. Clouds would change shape and the temperature would change the colours. I would always try and make out what the shapes of the clouds were and show my sister who saw something completely different to me. As an adult I feel the same feelings while looking at William Eggleston’s work. His work consists of series of photographs of clouds. I could look at them for hours trying to work out what the shapes are trying to portray. The photographs look so real as if I were still looking up at the sky with my sister.

These photographs have given me inspiration to photograph some similar photographs as these. I want to use this as an initial idea to my project and see where it takes me.
