152MC – Sense of the World
Many people take our sense for granted and we don’t realise how much we are dependant on them. As humans it is natural for us to spend so much time caught up in our thoughts and emotions that we often forget to stay in tune with our most primal human qualities. Our senses can tell us so much about the world around us, and yet to really notice them we must quiet our minds and exist in the present moment. Imagine how much richer our lives would be if we slowed down just a bit to really see, smell, taste, hear and touch the people, places and objects that exist in our lives everyday.
I am going to look at the senses in a literal way and also an imaginative way for example, a blind person is not be able to see but they must have more of a creative mind than people who can see and might be visualizing things they want to see and I will make those thoughts into a real photograph. These photographs are the literal side of touch and I am really enjoying how this project is progressing.
“Rather than being your thoughts and emotions, be the awareness behind them. Become conscious of being conscious.” – Eckhart Tolle
